How often do you rehearse things in your head?
That was a bit vague, let me be more specific…
How often do you rehearse the things you want to do and accomplish going the way you plan?
How often do you rehearse things you're working to improve inside your head?
How often do you rehearse things going wrong, but making corrective actions to ensure things turn out right?
I’m not talking about mental bullshit nor am I referring to the negative rehearse many anxious people are accustomed to or the negative loops some of you may find yourself in.
I’m talking about deliberate practice inside your mind!
It’s something I practice daily and it’s been key to my success.
Why? I can’t say for certain, but I believe there are four primary reasons:
But when you search throughout history it was common practice amongst some of the greatest thinkers ever, from Einstein to Napoleon Hill.
What do you need to mentally rehearse? Is it that clients that always seems to give you trouble? Is it recording and posting daily on social media and watching your audience grow? Is it walking in the door at night, shutting off your work brain and turning on your mom or dad brain so your present and active with your kids? Is it getting up early in the morning and having an outstanding workout?
No matter what it is for you, mentally rehearsing it, not just once, but hundreds and hundreds of times in your head will provide you with greater insight and a faster path to achieving it. Enjoy!
To your success,
Nate
