I wonder how many of you reading this have ever felt like you’re a failure?

Whether it was a fleeting moment after failing a test, losing your job when you least expected it, finding out a fellow entrepreneur has scaled twice as fast as you have, or just feeling like you can never measure up, I’ve got good news for you!!!

And it’s the either key assumption of NLP:

Feedback vs. Failure - All results and behaviors are achievements, whether they are desired outcomes for a given task/context or not.

You see!!! There is no such thing as failure.

Failure is a construct we humans have created for one of two basic purposes:

The nefarious purpose of putting other people down. Letting them know they failed, and diminishing their worth.
To justify our own lack of ability (whether knowingly or unknowingly) to stick with it until we succeed.

Both of those suck, so let’s stop thinking that way.

Failure itself is part of learning.

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase how many times would you let a baby fall while learning to walk before you just deemed them a failure and told them to stop trying.

It’s the same thing with yourself.

You never fail. You either succeed, or you learn.

You direct your mind in the direction you want it to go.

You learn what works and what doesn’t based on your experience.

You adapt based on your learnings.

You iterate and repeat.

It’s the process of success. It’s our philosophy for success here at Mind Vault.
